Frequently Asked Questions
Looking for answers about our vintage clothing, jewellery, shipping or returns? This FAQ by Gong Nong Bing Vintage covers everything you need to know — from how we define vintage to how to try on items in-store.
- Are your items authentic vintage? Yes — every piece in our collection is genuinely vintage. If an item doesn’t meet the criteria, we clearly mention it on the product page. Each piece is handpicked to ensure it meets our high standards for quality, style, and uniqueness. Many pieces carry a rich history and are in excellent condition — we also celebrate the charming imperfections that add character to vintage fashion.
- What is your definition of vintage? We define vintage as items that are at least 20 years old and reflect the style, design, and spirit of a specific era. Most of our collection ranges from the 1960s to early 2000s. Every item is assessed for authenticity, condition, and historical relevance.
- Are all of your products used? Most of our items are pre-loved. However, we occasionally offer vintage deadstock — unworn items that are still over 20 years old and may include original tags. If an item is deadstock or unused, it will be clearly stated on the product page.
- What is the difference between vintage and second-hand? “Vintage” means the item is at least 20 years old and represents a past era’s trends or craftsmanship. “Second-hand” simply means it’s pre-owned. While all vintage is second-hand (unless deadstock), not all second-hand items are vintage.
- Where do you source your vintage clothing? We source our stock from trusted vintage suppliers, flea markets, and collectors across Europe and beyond. We focus on selecting pieces that embody the spirit of historical styles — particularly those that reflect the hardworking and resilient nature of soldiers, workers, and peasants — while ensuring they are both functional and fashionable.
- How do I place an order? Simply browse our online store, add your chosen items to the cart, and proceed to checkout. Once payment is complete, you’ll receive an email confirmation with your order details. We ship worldwide.
- Do you offer international shipping? Yes — we ship internationally from our London location. Shipping costs for orders under £100 are calculated at checkout based on the item’s weight and destination, while orders over £100 qualify for free international shipping. All parcels include tracking and are dispatched within 3–5 working days. Find more details on our Shipping Policy page.
- Can I try things on in-store? Yes — if you’d like to try on an item from our online collection, please place your order online and select ‘In-store Pickup’ at checkout. A £1 admin fee applies. You can try the item on at our London shop, and if it’s not suitable, we’ll refund the product (the £1 fee is non-refundable). Upon collection, customers must inspect items for any unacceptable flaws, and in-store collections are considered final sale, with returns eligible for store credit only. For items already in-store, feel free to visit and try them on. Our address is 68 Charing Cross Road, WC2H 0BB, London. We open daily from 1 PM to 8 PM.
- What is your return policy? We offer 20 day returns for online orders (not for items sold in-store). Items must be in original condition. See our Returns & Refunds page for full details.
- How does your loyalty programme work? You earn points every time you shop with us, online or in-store. Points can be redeemed for exclusive rewards and discounts. Learn more on our Loyalty Scheme page.
- Can I reserve an item? Yes — we can hold in-store items for up to 24 hours. For online items, DM us on Instagram @gongnongbingvintage or contact us here.
- What if my item arrives damaged? We carefully pack every order, but if your item is damaged in transit, contact us within 72 hours with photos. We’ll resolve the issue quickly.
- Do you restock items? Most of our items are one-of-a-kind, so once they’re gone, they’re gone! We upload new pieces regularly — follow us on Instagram or check our site weekly.
